The blades are individually packaged and sterilized. Swann Morton sterilizes the sterile blades using gamma radiation. Do you want to work with a sterile blade? Then choose the red line.    <\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Blue Swann Morton blades:<\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> non-<\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">sterile<br \/>\n<\/strong>The <strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">blue Swann Morton blades<\/strong>are<strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> non-sterile<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">. They are also made of carbon steel, but are not supplied in a sterile condition.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So the main difference between red and blue is <strong>sterility<\/strong>. The larger size can be convenient when you want to work with a larger cutting surface. <strong style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Suitable for:<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\"> treating larger areas where you prefer to use a larger blade.<\/span> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Which scalpel holder do you need?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The number on the scalpel holder does not match the number on the blade. The blades are divided into two series: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ginkels.nl\/pedicure-producten\/pedicuremesjes\/scalpelhouder-nr-3-voor-swann-morton-mesjes\/\"><strong>Scalpel Holder No. 3<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nSuitable for smaller <strong>blades such as Nos. 10, 11, and 15<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ginkels.nl\/pedicure-producten\/pedicuremesjes\/scalpelhouder-nr-4-voor-swann-morton-mesjes\/\"><strong>Scalpel Holder No. 4<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nSuitable for larger <strong>blades, such as Nos. 20 and 21<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Working Safely with Swann Morton Blades<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A sharp blade requires careful and safe handling. By keeping a few simple precautions in mind, you can keep your workspace safe and work comfortably during every treatment. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Always use the correct scalpel holder.<\/strong>  Before you begin, check to make sure the blade fits the holder. Blades #10, 11, and 15 are used with holder #3. For blades #20 and 21, you&#8217;ll need holder #4.  <\/li>\n<li><strong>Never hold a blade by the cutting edge.<\/strong>  Use the packaging provided for this purpose or a suitable tool when inserting and removing the blade. Work carefully and avoid unnecessary movements. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Dispose of used razor blades safely and immediately.<\/strong>  Never leave a used razor blade lying loose on your countertop.
