WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN PURCHASING ESSENTIAL OILS:
When used properly, essential oils are safe. However, in larger quantities, they can be toxic and actually pose a health risk. That is why proper labeling on essential oil bottles is of the utmost importance. For a long time, however, essential oils were sold without any warnings on the label. The government has since made this mandatory, so that today the bottles are labeled with (possibly) a number of warning symbols and warning texts. The actual risk posed by essential oils depends on the type of oil (as indicated by the warnings on the label), the total amount in the package, how it is stored, and how it is used. Follow your therapist’s recommendations and use this product sensibly and responsibly.
