As a salon owner, you want to offer your clients the best results, and a glycolic acid peel is an effective way to exfoliate and renew the skin. Glycolic acid, a powerful AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), removes dead skin cells and stimulates cell renewal for smoother, more radiant skin.
At Ginkel’s Cosmetics, you can choose from peels containing 10% or 30% glycolic acid, depending on your client’s skin type:
• 10% Glycolic Acid
Suitable for sensitive skin or for clients who have never had a peel before. It provides mild exfoliation, perfect for a first treatment or for clients whose skin is sensitive to more intensive treatments.
• 30% Glycolic Acid
Ideal for normal to oily skin and for clients who are accustomed to regular peels. This concentration provides deeper exfoliation, making it more effective at addressing stubborn skin concerns such as enlarged pores, dark spots, and fine lines.

1. Cleansing
Thoroughly cleanse the skin with a cleanser that best suits the client’s skin type. Ginkel’s Cosmetics offers an extensive range of cleansing products, including toners, cleansing milks, and foams. Using the right cleanser ensures that the glycolic acid peel can work optimally and that the skin is thoroughly prepared for the rest of the treatment.
2. Exfoliate
Apply the Glycolic Acid Peeling 10% or Glycolic Acid Peeling 30% with a mask brush apply evenly to clean, dry skin. Avoid the eyes and mouth. Let the peel sit for 3–7 minutes, depending on your skin type. Remove the peel completely with water and sponges.
3. Neutralize
Now neutralize the skin with Ginkel’s® After Care pH Balancer. The pH Balancer, rich in aloe vera and soothing oat extract, restores the skin’s pH balance, soothes, and reduces redness after the peel. Spray generously onto a cotton pad or directly onto the skin. Avoid the eyes and let it dry.
4. After-
After a peel, the skin is extra sensitive to sunburn and needs extra protection. The After Care Balm with SPF 30 protects, moisturizes, and supports recovery with natural ingredients. Sell the After Care Balm to the client or provide them with a retail-sized package, along with clear instructions to use it twice daily for at least 3 to 6 days after the peel.
